ON BEING EMPOWERED: BECOMING CONFIDENT THROUGH THIS PROCESS

Being invited to be " an equal" throughout this programme of work has resulted in some significant changes for those involved.

 

BECOMING MORE SELF AWARE

 

Many in the group expressed their feelings of increased self-esteem, or "self confidence". 

This led some to become much more "aware of their abilities in the workplace", others to "re-evaluate (their).. self-worth".

 

COMMUNICATING AND ENGAGING WITH OTHERS

 

The experience has given staff the "confidence to challenge and to question" and to "be more receptive to giving and receiving feedback". 

It has also enabled staff to " share thoughts and opinions much better". 

 

Finally, this process has developed trust in people making decisions and also has developed trust through working collaboratively with others.
